Mechanical Designer

THE TASKS YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH 🎯

• Perform design and engineering of parts or assemblies according to client requests, client standards, and industry standards;
• Modify or perform 3D modeling of parts or assemblies;
• Develop and interpret plans, drawings, and technical specifications for various parts or assemblies;
• Correct and incorporate changes into technical drawings;
• Standardize 3D models and drawings according to client and industry standards;
• Analyze submitted change requests;
• Research documentation on technical specifications when not provided by the client;
• Perform root cause analysis and problem solving;
• Act as technical support for production and engineering;
• Assist in drafting quality procedures;
• Share technical knowledge with team members;
• Verify assembly manuals;
• Understand the requirements of AS 9100 standards relating to the responsibilities assigned to this position;
• Respect the company's QMS procedures and apply tools during task execution.

YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS 💎

• 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience;
• DEC in aeronautical construction or mechanical engineering;
• Experience in the aeronautical or manufacturing sector, an asset;
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint);
• Master First Article Inspection (FAI) processes;
• Master design and modeling software (CATIA V5 and 3DVia);
• Knowledge of a Material Resource Planning (MRP) software, such as SAP and BaaN;
• Knowledge of Mentor Graphics or Corel Draw, an asset;
• Knowledge of design software (Autocad, Smarteam, Enovia, and MBOM), an asset;
• Bilingualism; French and English, written and spoken.
