The Air Canada Concierge Service Agent is primarily responsible for delivering personalized, detail-oriented service and recognition to Aéroplan Super Elite 100K members, other high-status members, and Signature Class customers at the airport (arrivals, check-in, departures, and in lounges).
The Concierge Service Agent must consistently attend to the needs of Air Canada’s premium customers and provide excellent service at all times, in accordance with customer service guidelines and company safety rules. The incumbent must be able to resolve a wide range of issues and know how and whom to ask for assistance. By building professional, positive relationships with our most frequent flyers, the Concierge Service Agent helps foster brand loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Greet high-value customers at the check-in counter and escort them to the lounge when appropriate.
- Assist in resolving high-value customers' issues at arrivals and departures, including ticketing, upgrades, connections, baggage retrieval, and last-minute arrangements.
- Assist high-value customers at departure gates.
- Welcome high-value customers in the lounges.
- Liaise with the 24/7 Concierge Service as needed.
- Communicate with Concierge Service agents at other stations worldwide, as well as with local representatives (hotels, other carriers).
- Propose solutions for high-value customers, including during operational irregularities.
- Maintain daily Concierge Service activity reports, record issues, and follow up as required.
- Coordinate with Concierge groups to assist with handling important or high-value customers.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with the Internet, email, Word, Excel, and the Altéa Reservation system.
- Degree or diploma in tourism is an asset.
- Experience in a similar role is an asset.
- Knowledge of ticketing is an asset.
- Willingness to travel (seminars, training, etc.).
- Airport pass/access authorization.
- Wear the company uniform in accordance with Air Canada uniform and dress standards.
- Compliance with airport security and safety regulations.
Conditions of employment
Candidates must be eligible to work in the relevant country at the time an offer is made and are responsible for obtaining any required work permits, visas or other authorizations. Proof of eligibility must be provided before the start date.
Language requirements
Knowledge of German – B2 level or higher. Excellent command of English (written and spoken). French and other foreign languages are considered assets.
