What will your day-to-day look like?

• Use various machining processes, analyze and improvise fixtures and methods, and perform necessary calculations and programming.

• Calculate and program changes for machining and to compensate for dimensional variations of tools, gauges, parts, or machine conditions, using computer software.

• Set up, adjust, and operate equipment such as sandblasting machines, polishing machines, and waxing or dewaxing basins.

• Perform quick maintenance work, minor epoxy work, and detail installation.

• Interpret part views and dimensions.

• Select or improvise fixtures and clamping methods depending on the part to be machined.

What you need to succeed

• Ability to work in a team

• Interest in mechanics

• Manual dexterity

• Analytical mind

• This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment; however, it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may originate from international organizations.

Education

• DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in machining techniques

• Mechanical Engineering Technology

• Aerospace Engineering Technology

Experience

• Ideally, the candidate will have one to two years of experience
