What your daily routine will look like

• Use various machining processes, analyze and improvise fixtures and methods, perform necessary calculations and programming.

• Calculate and program changes for machining and to compensate for dimensional variations of tools, gauges, parts or machine condition, using computer software.

• Set up, adjust and operate equipment such as sandblasting machines, polishing machines and waxing or dewaxing tanks.

• Perform rapid maintenance work, minor epoxy work and detail installation.

• Interpret part views and dimensions.

• Select or improvise fixtures and clamping methods depending on the part to be machined.

What you need to succeed

• Ease in working in a team

• Interest in mechanics

• Manual dexterity

• Analytical mind

• This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment, nevertheless it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.

Education

• DEP in machining techniques

• Mechanical engineering technology

• Aerospace engineering technology

Experience

• Ideally the candidate will have one to two years of experience
