What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Use various machining processes, analyze and improvise fixtures and methods, perform necessary calculations and programming.
  • Calculate and program changes for machining and to compensate for dimensional variations of tools, gauges, parts, or machine condition, using computer software.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate equipment such as sandblasting machines, polishing machines, and waxing or de-waxing basins.
  • Perform rapid maintenance, minor epoxy work, and detail installation.
  • Interpret views and dimensions of the part.
  • Select or improvise fixtures and clamping methods according to the part to be machined.

  • This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment, nonetheless, it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.

Education

  • DEP in machining techniques
  • Mechanical engineering technology
  • Aerospace engineering technology

Experience

  • Ideally, the candidate will have one to two years of experience
