Job Description
In collaboration with the Senior Director, Communications, Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility, the Communications Advisor plays a key role in the development and implementation of Transat's internal and external communications. The person contributes to the strategic planning and deployment of communication initiatives, ensures the consistency of corporate messages and acts as a partner to the various vice-presidencies to support their communication needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement internal and external communication plans ensuring consistency, quality and respect for deadlines.
- Draft and produce various corporate contents: press releases, Q&As, speeches, presentations, articles and LinkedIn publications.
- Manage the corporate editorial calendar and ensure the alignment of messages across all communication channels.
- Perform daily media monitoring, analyze coverage and produce press reviews as well as performance reports.
- Contribute to the management of the intranet and the development of content intended for employees and external stakeholders.
- Support the planning and coordination of corporate projects and events, notably the annual meeting, employee meetings and strategic announcements.
- Collaborate with external partners and suppliers in the context of joint announcements or special initiatives and ensure the quality of deliverables.
- Participate in the preparation of spokespersons by coordinating logistics and briefing documents, while proposing improvements to tools, practices and processes, including the integration of artificial intelligence solutions.
Qualifications
- University degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or in a related role requiring a strong execution capacity.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to quickly produce clear, structured content adapted to different audiences.
- Experience in project management, corporate event coordination and collaboration with external partners or suppliers.
- Solid analytical, synthesis and recommendation skills, as well as excellent organizational skills and priority management.
- An asset: experience in graphic design, visual content creation or video editing.
- Excellent mastery of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and demonstrated ease with collaborative digital tools and AI (e.g. Copilot). Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
- Oral and written mastery of French and English*
A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will have to communicate frequently in English, orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients or other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
