Job description
In collaboration with the call center supervisor, the vacation travel advisor assists clients in planning their travel projects by offering solutions adapted to their needs, while providing an exceptional service experience and maximizing sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming customer calls and provide personalized service.
- Effectively identify needs to recommend the best travel options.
- Research, plan, and book travel products using available tools.
- Design and sell travel packages and itineraries, including complex à la carte itineraries.
- Confidently present the various options offered by major industry suppliers.
- Support customers using online booking tools and follow up on ongoing files. (Sirev and PC voyages an asset)
- Develop sales of complementary products and contribute to achieving commercial objectives.
- Stay abreast of market trends and adapt recommendations according to customer needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of training and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in selling travel products in a travel agency or call center.
- Experience in planning and booking international travel including multiple products and destinations.
- OPC certification required; TICO certification considered an asset or willingness to obtain it.
- Excellent skills in consultative selling, influence, prospecting, and building trusting relationships with customers.
- Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and time and emergency management skills.
- Excellent command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and demonstrated ease with collaborative digital tools and AI (e.g., Copilot). Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
- Fluent in spoken and written French and English.*
* A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will frequently communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients, or other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
Additional information
- Schedule Monday to Saturday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Availability during weekdays and weekends is required. (2 Saturdays per month).
- Base salary plus commissions. (competitive incentive program)
- Three weeks of vacation and five personal days upon hiring.
- Budget allocated for familiarization trips.
