The person who holds the position of Lines Marketing Advisor plays a key role in promoting Air Canada's network through the development and execution of destination marketing campaigns that inspire travel and stimulate demand for the destinations served by the Company. At the intersection of strategy, creativity and commercial performance, this person works collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to implement integrated marketing programs that strengthen Air Canada's leadership position and contribute directly to the success of its global network.
This marketing position includes managing integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns (awareness, engagement, revenue generation) across paid and owned channels. This is a critical collaborative position with internal stakeholders, including Revenue Management, Air Canada's Media Office, Air Canada Sales tourism partnerships, Aeroplan Loyalty Program Management, Air Canada Marketing Activities, Air Canada Creative Studio, Marketing Analytics, Air Canada Commercial Communications, requiring a combination of strategic thinking, execution and management skills to generate additional revenue.
The Advisor must have a passion for retail and digital marketing, possess excellent analytical skills, demonstrate innovation and creativity, and be able to maintain a relationship of trust with colleagues, business partners, internal clients and external communication agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage and direct all aspects of the execution of line support marketing campaigns and initiatives for the assigned portfolio, including mass campaigns and targeted campaigns (by email, digital, social networks, print, television, outdoor advertising, SEM, etc.).
- Coordinate, execute and support the management of relevant commercial or tourism partnership marketing campaigns, to enable Air Canada to increase its visibility and access particular markets.
- Develop e-commerce retail marketing assets and content based on professional and commercial feedback provided by various internal stakeholders (Revenue Management, Global Sales, Brands department, etc.) for use and distribution through various channels, including emails, social media, paid digital ads, ACO, print ads and videos.
- Propose marketing strategies and solutions, including tactical mix, channel mix and messaging strategy, in collaboration with Revenue Management, Aeroplan Loyalty Program Management and Sales, to proactively target and resolve upcoming line issues.
- In close collaboration with the Marketing Analytics teams, monitor, analyze and present campaign results, demonstrating return on investment, extracting actionable insights for future campaigns and continuously improving the effectiveness of marketing communication campaigns.
- Manage and execute weekly Retail e-commerce Promotions emails, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with the brand image and guidelines, and advocate for media strategies and choices.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency and legality of the information contained in all communications.
- Regularly prepare presentations and actively participate in meetings with Company executives, to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Manage external service providers and agencies, including multicultural agencies, overseeing the marketing budget for the assigned portfolio, including issuing purchase orders, purchase commitment permissions, invoicing and reconciliation.
- Act as subject matter expert and advisor to business units.
- Build strong, cross-functional and cooperative working relationships with other departments involved in line support marketing initiatives (Air Canada Creative Studio, Marketing Analytics, Web team, CRM Planning, Air Canada Media Office, Revenue Management, Commercial Communications, Network Planning, Air Canada Sales, Corporate Communications, etc.).
- Think strategically and contribute new ideas and best practices, following key industry trends, and contribute to the conversion process through a solutions-oriented approach based on analysis and data. Contribute to the achievement of annual company targets and objectives with integrity.
- Prioritize projects and campaigns in line with Company and brand objectives.
- Actively participate in the annual marketing communications planning process.
- Actively monitor market trends and competitor activities.
Qualifications
- University degree in business, marketing option, or equivalent.
- At least three years of relevant experience.
- Bilingualism – Excellent command of grammar, spelling and punctuation in English and French.
- Working knowledge of digital media, including Internet and social media.
- Experience within an agency, an asset.
- Excellent strategic and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated to succeed with energy and enthusiasm.
- Autonomy and strong organizational skills, with ability to produce quality work in a constantly evolving environment, and a deep willingness to show initiative and take responsibility for one's work.
- Strong communication, presentation and networking skills, and experience working with people at all levels.

Employment conditions:
