The primary role of the incumbent, within the Partnerships and Platforms — Travel sector group, is to support multiple travel partnerships by contributing to the growth, management and achievement of objectives for relationships with new and existing partners. This role will have direct responsibility and influence over the direction and development of travel partnerships for Air Canada and Aeroplan, with the aim of strengthening Aeroplan's value proposition in the market. The incumbent will regularly collaborate with the AC Loyalty leadership team and partners to analyze and improve existing and new travel partnerships and loyalty program features. This role will work closely with the Partnership Marketing team, the Digital Products team, and across the Air Canada organization and partner network to support the upkeep and implementation of partnership projects.

The position will be based in Montréal or Toronto and will report to the Director, Partnerships and Platforms — Travel sector.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to continuously maintain and consistently implement partnership travel benefits, including car rental benefits.
  • Lead research and analysis to implement improvements to existing partnerships, including changes to value propositions and experience.
  • Actively participate in profitability analyses and commercial modeling to ensure partnerships generate profitability, customer engagement, and sustained loyalty program growth.
  • Develop historical and forward-looking models to predict the business impact of proposed loyalty initiatives.
  • Use data models to analyze current revenue management, operational, and customer data to determine program elements to optimize.
  • Continuously conduct market and industry research, analyze performance trends and customer behaviors in travel and loyalty sectors to ensure our partner product portfolio remains relevant and compelling.
  • Ensure ongoing validation of travel partnership content; manage content updates or changes as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing account management with partners to ensure overall alignment of partnership objectives.
  • Collaborate with Air Canada's Digital Products and IT teams on the development of new partnership features and resolve technical issues related to partnership management.
  • Work with Aeroplan Partnership Marketing and Customer Relationship Management teams to create targeted, relevant partnership campaigns to drive long-term member activation and engagement.
  • Manage commercial partnership activities including creation of marketing program codes and establishing terms and conditions for promotional offers.
  • Support post-campaign and post-launch analyses for travel offers.
  • Collaborate with the Aeroplan Finance team on financial matters related to the partner portfolio.
  • Work with partners and internal customer service specialists to investigate and resolve member inquiries and escalations related to partnerships.
  • Manage ad-hoc research projects, gather industry intelligence, benchmark privilege programs, and make recommendations for travel partnership initiatives.

Qualifications

  • University or college degree, preferably in business, marketing, finance, or a related field.
  • Three years of professional experience, preferably in the airline or loyalty sectors.
  • Curiosity and interest in pursuing a career in aviation and loyalty.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and spot opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively convey opportunities and issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong customer focus and deep understanding of customer needs and preferences.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, communicate concisely, build consensus, and manage multiple enterprise-level deliverables.
  • A continuous desire to drive product optimization through experience with product-centric, customer-focused development processes.
  • Strategic and logical thinking.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work under pressure with changing priorities.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver them independently.
  • Team spirit and demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, manage time, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in an agile, fast-paced environment with a high volume of activity as part of a high-performing, passionate, dynamic, results-oriented team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and internationally as required.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) preferred.
