The Cabin Product Advisor is responsible for commercial and lifecycle management of assigned onboard product categories to enhance the customer experience. The incumbent is responsible for supplier management, financial oversight, product implementation, governance, and continuous improvement, as well as building partnerships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders in In-Flight Service, Catering, Strategic Procurement, and Finance.

The ideal candidate is proactive and takes initiative, takes ownership of their files, has good judgment, and is comfortable managing multiple parallel projects autonomously while collaborating with a broad network of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Commercial File Management
Lead day-to-day commercial management of assigned product categories, acting as a resource person for suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Manage the commercial lifecycle of assigned onboard product categories.
  • Build strong working relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet expectations for quality, service, innovation, and cost.
  • Coordinate product launches, modifications, and discontinuations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier performance and proactively identify opportunities for product improvement or cost optimization.
  • Review and analyze feedback from customers, crews, Operations teams, and suppliers to identify trends and issues related to product performance and translate findings into product improvements.
  • Research innovative products to continuously improve the onboard customer experience.
  • Support supplier selection activities by evaluating new products, reviewing samples, and participating in requests for proposals.
  • Perform risk assessments as needed.

Product Development and Implementation
Manage the implementation and lifecycle of assigned onboard product categories while supporting product development activities.

  • Lead the execution of initiatives related to assigned products, from design to implementation.
  • Foster collaboration with In-Flight Service and Catering to evaluate new products and improvements.
  • Coordinate operational readiness by organizing product tests, tastings, and trials.
  • Monitor product specifications to ensure they accurately reflect approved designs.
  • Support product launches across the network.

Product Information and Governance
Keep product specifications and master data up to date.

  • Communicate product changes in a timely manner to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain centralized product documentation.
  • Improve information management processes through automation and standardization.
  • Ensure version control for all deployed products.

Financial Management
Assume responsibility for the financial administration of assigned product categories, ensuring pricing accuracy, budget integrity, and supplier compliance.

  • Keep price lists from suppliers and catering partners up to date, ensuring pricing accuracy and timely updates following product or menu changes.
  • Apply contractual price adjustments, including the annual consumer price index increase, in accordance with supplier agreements.
  • Review, validate, and process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms, budget assumptions, and company policies.
  • Work in partnership with Finance and Strategic Procurement to resolve pricing, billing, and invoice anomalies.
  • Track spending within assigned product categories and identify cost trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Support cost modeling, product benchmarking, and the development of business cases for new product initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, marketing, hospitality management, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in product management, supplier management, commercial operations, procurement, project management, or a related field.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to balance customer experience, operational feasibility, supplier capabilities, and financial objectives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects autonomously and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proven ability to deliver high-quality work with accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and delivering results.
  • Proven sense of initiative and responsibility, and ability to take charge of assigned product categories and advance work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, process automation, macros, or workflow improvement initiatives is an asset.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Procurement, Finance, or external suppliers is an asset.
  • Experience in the airline, hospitality, retail, consumer goods, or travel industry is an asset.
  • Availability to travel within Canada and internationally as needed.
  • Proven punctuality and reliability to foster overall team success in a fast-paced environment.

Employment Conditions:

Candidates must be eligible to work in the country concerned at the time an employment offer is presented and are responsible for obtaining work permits, visas, or other necessary authorizations. Proof of eligibility must be provided before the start date.
