About the project:
As part of a strategic project aimed at restarting the manufacturing of spare parts (for programs), we are looking for an autonomous consultant with solid experience in aerospace manufacturing.
The person will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing supply sources for low-volume parts, while ensuring the monitoring of industrialization until production launch.
This is a results-oriented mandate requiring very little supervision.

Main responsibilities
- Analyze technical drawings, including several historical or old drawings, to understand manufacturing requirements.
- Identify and develop suppliers capable of manufacturing aerospace parts in small quantities.
- Evaluate suppliers' manufacturing capabilities (equipment, processes, experience, certifications, technical capacity, quality, etc.).
- Conduct requests for quotations, analyze offers, and recommend the best procurement strategy.
- Work closely with the responsible buyer to ensure the placement of purchase orders.
- Ensure complete monitoring of industrialization with suppliers:
- Raw material supply;
- Development of the manufacturing process;
- Tooling manufacturing, as needed;
- CNC programming;
- Launch of machining;
- Monitoring of first parts until production.
- Quickly identify risks and propose solutions to meet schedules.
- Act as a technical point of contact between suppliers, purchasing, engineering, and operations.
Profile sought
- Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing or procurement in the aerospace field.
- Excellent ability to interpret complex technical drawings, including historical drawings.
- Good knowledge of machining processes, surface treatments, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in supplier development and qualification.
- Good understanding of the complete manufacturing cycle of an aerospace part.
- High autonomy and excellent ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
- Practical mindset, solution-oriented, and able to advance projects with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of BAAN (an asset, but not essential).
