In your duties, you will be called upon to:
- Ensure that all components used in the manufacture of an aircraft (e.g. major structure, interior finish furniture, mechanical, avionics, electrical, hydraulic systems) comply with the specifications established by company and industry standards;
- Read and interpret technical plans and drawings;
- Perform visual and manual inspections using measuring tools according to engineering standards, processes and quality assurance guidelines;
- Regularly carry out checks in stores to ensure that items received or shipped are properly labeled (colors, part numbers and vignettes);
- Assign reference numbers and shelf-life expiration dates to appropriate materials;
- Conduct audits;
- Approve work deemed compliant;
- Write non-conformance inspection reports and technical anomaly sheets;
- Act as a liaison with floor operators, engineering and methods.
As the ideal candidate, you possess:
- You hold a DEC in industrial engineering, a DEC or AEC in aircraft construction/manufacturing, or a DEC or AEC in mechanical engineering;
- You have a good knowledge of software such as Word, Excel, SAP, HMS, Catia V5 (an asset);
- You have 1 year of relevant experience;
- You are proficient in French and English, both orally and in writing;
- You have knowledge of geometric tolerancing (an asset).
