Job Description
- Ensure that all components used in aircraft manufacturing (e.g., major structures, interior finish furnishings, mechanical systems, avionics, electrical, hydraulic systems) comply with company and industry specifications.
- Read and interpret plans and technical drawings.
- Perform visual and manual inspections using measuring tools according to engineering standards, processes, and quality assurance directives.
- Regularly carry out checks in stores/warehouses to ensure received or shipped items are properly labeled (colors, part numbers, and tags).
- Assign reference numbers and shelf-life expiration dates to appropriate materials.
- Conduct audits.
- Approve work deemed compliant.
- Prepare non-conformity inspection reports and technical discrepancy sheets.
- Liaise with floor operators, engineering, and methods teams.
Requirements
- DEC in Industrial Engineering, a DEC or AEC in Aircraft Construction/Manufacturing, or a DEC or AEC in Mechanical Engineering.
- Good knowledge of software such as Word, Excel, SAP, HMS, Catia V5 (an asset).
- 1 year of relevant experience.
- Fluency in French and English, both oral and written.
- Knowledge of geometric tolerancing (an asset).
