Job Description

In collaboration with the head of the technical data department, the incumbent acts as a reference for the team of technical data controllers. They ensure the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of aircraft, engine, and APU maintenance records in the company's electronic tracking systems, while providing coaching, training, and technical support to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of maintenance records with Transport Canada regulations and company procedures.
  • Perform quality checks of technical data related to aircraft, engines, APUs, and components to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Verify the completion of modifications, inspections, replacements, and recommendations from Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Audit the execution of repetitive inspections and the tracking of life-limited or controlled components.
  • Prepare, examine, and validate documentation demonstrating the traceability of life-limited parts integrated into aircraft or their main assemblies (engines, APUs, landing gears, thrust reversers).
  • Provide training, coaching, and problem-solving support to technical data controllers.
  • Respond to requests related to technical records and participate in audit, return, or aircraft sales projects, as well as import processes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a technical data controller in the aviation field.
  • Good knowledge of Canadian aviation regulations and standards, as well as compliance requirements in aeronautical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of maintenance control documents from aircraft and component manufacturers.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, rigorous, problem-solving, and team support skills.
  • Excellent command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and demonstrated ease with collaborative digital tools and AI (e.g., Copilot). Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
  • Fluency in oral and written French and English*
    A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will need to communicate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
