Job Description

In collaboration with the Head of Technical Data, the incumbent acts as a reference for the team of Technical Data Controllers. They ensure the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of aircraft, engine, and APU maintenance records in the company's electronic tracking systems, while providing coaching, training, and technical support to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance records comply with Transport Canada regulations and company procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on technical data related to aircraft, engines, APUs, and components to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Verify the completion of modifications, inspections, replacements, and recommendations from Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Audit the execution of repetitive inspections and track life-limited or controlled components.
  • Prepare, review, and validate documentation demonstrating the traceability of life-limited parts integrated into aircraft or their major assemblies (engines, APUs, landing gear, thrust reversers).
  • Provide training, coaching, and problem-solving support to Technical Data Controllers.
  • Respond to requests related to technical records and participate in audit projects, aircraft returns or sales, and importation processes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Technical Data Controller in the aviation field.
  • Good knowledge of Canadian aviation regulations and standards, as well as aeronautical maintenance compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of maintenance control documents from aircraft and component manufacturers.
  • Excellent skills in analysis, organization, rigor, problem-solving, and team support.
  • Excellent command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and demonstrated ease with collaborative digital tools and AI (e.g., Copilot). Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
  • Oral and written mastery of French and English*
    A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will need to communicate frequently in English, orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
