Air Canada is looking for a Technical Data Controller within the Maintenance branch. The candidate must demonstrate a strong sense of organization and investigative skills, work independently, and present the results of their inventory audits accurately and in a timely manner.

The incumbent will work at the Activities Hangar, near the Montreal International Airport. The current starting salary is $29.06/hour, depending on experience and in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

Duties and required qualifications:

  • Liaise with other warehouses, departments, customers and manufacturer representatives, as well as internal staff, as needed.
  • Analyze outputs and extract technical data from automated systems.
  • Organize and protect all aircraft records.
  • Conduct daily audits of technical logs, work orders, working documents, material documents and related data for accuracy and follow-up on errors or omissions.
  • Process component changes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills along with a keen interest and ability to work with data.
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook), essential.
  • Ability to redirect efforts based on changing priorities and time constraints.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) in dealings with staff or customers. Team spirit essential.
  • Good organizational skills, as well as great attention to detail.
  • Curious nature; motivation.
  • Knowledge of logistics operations and maintenance programs, an asset.
  • Availability to work shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability to support the overall success of the team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearance, depending on the workplace. Please consult the Transport Canada website for more details.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the country concerned at the time a job offer is presented and are responsible for obtaining work permits, visas or other necessary authorizations. Proof of eligibility must be provided before the start date.
