Reporting to the Senior Manager – Sales Support – International Network, the incumbent coordinates projects, events and activities related to Air Canada's International Sales team, particularly the Sales Support and Sales Enablement groups. The incumbent manages enquiries and requests from travel agencies and provides a high level of service and support. They will help implement action plans to evolve Air Canada's commercial support and account management practices, as well as its general sales agent strategy and communications in international markets. This role will also support initiatives related to launching new routes, establishing tourism partnerships and developing commercial relationships, both internal and external. The incumbent will work closely with various Sales stakeholders, including Sales Operations, Commercial Support and Planning teams, as well as communications and project teams, to facilitate effective implementation of our business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective and consistent communication to coordinate between regional offices, general sales agents and head office teams regarding administrative matters, deadlines, project objectives and reporting.
  • Provide general guidance and strategic support to the Sales Support team in line with defined strategies and plans.
  • Manage incoming emails and support requests from travel agencies, travel management companies, online travel agencies and client accounts. Process requests in a timely manner.
  • Provide accurate information and advice on Air Canada products, services, fares and procedures.
  • Monitor Air Canada and partner programs to ensure visibility of Air Canada products across distribution channels.
  • Support the team's technical aspects, including submitting support requests and tracking them.
  • Organize and maintain the Sales team's resource libraries.
  • Validate and distribute regular reports to commercial stakeholders.
  • Prepare meeting minutes and presentations.
  • Support the team in planning events and travel, managing expenses and maintaining schedules. Act as a point of contact with Finance for invoice management. Support budget management.
  • Coordinate projects related to general sales agent planning, Sales Support and tactical initiatives in support of revenue and service objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure new route projects and tourism partnerships deliver positive outcomes for international sales outlets.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify and communicate trends, anomalies and opportunities that can contribute to better commercial decisions and improved results.
  • Assist the Sales team by routing incoming requests or providing timely guidance, in accordance with published guidelines, to support travel agencies and corporate accounts.
  • Manage the creation and printing of promotional materials and documents from the Commercial Communications, Sales Support and Sales Support libraries.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is required.
  • Proven experience improving customer experience in a sales support or customer service role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Amadeus ARD Web and airline pricing systems is required.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and global distribution systems (GDS) is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrated willingness to exceed expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in a similar sales support role, ideally in the airline industry, is an asset.
  • Availability to travel occasionally.

Employment conditions

Candidates must be eligible to work in the relevant country at the time an offer is made and are responsible for obtaining any required work permits, visas or other authorizations. Proof of eligibility must be provided prior to the start date.

Language requirements

Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
