Job Description:
Skyservice is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Lease and Asset Management Coordinator for our dynamic team. Reporting directly to our Director of Legal Affairs, the Lease and Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for supporting tenant lease administration, maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and supporting internal stakeholders on lease and asset matters.
The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of lease terminology and tracking systems, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the leasing process associated with our tenant leases in Canada and help manage our assets to maximize return on investment.
- Prepare and coordinate all lease-related documentation, including new leases, extensions, amendments, termination notices, and other related documents.
- Perform credit, reference, and background checks on potential tenants.
- Ensure that all leasing activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with the finance department for accurate and timely payment of rents and other leasing fees.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all leasing activities, lease terms, and expiration dates in the contract management database.
- Perform periodic lease audits to ensure compliance with all lease terms.
- Prepare reports on leasing activities for management.
- Monitor market trends and ensure rents are competitive; provide value-added advice and support to other business units in lease management.
- Maintain the contract management database.
- Review rents to ensure they comply with company requirements.
- Coordinate and assist the finance department in identifying areas for improvement in our operational activities for different business units; conduct research and develop initiatives or strategies to optimize activities and promote EBITDA growth.
- Collaborate with legal and finance departments and other relevant departments to evaluate operational procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operational activities.
- Assist in special projects that may be cross-functional, associated with improvements in corporate procedures.
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration, real estate, finance, or other related field, preferred.
- More than 2 years of experience in the business aviation sector, specifically with lease administration, asset management, or real estate coordination.
- In-depth knowledge of lease terminology, real estate contracts, and real estate operations.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
