Job Description:

Skyservice is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lease and Asset Management Coordinator for our dynamic team. Reporting directly to our Director of Legal Affairs, the Lease and Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for supporting tenant lease administration, maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and supporting internal stakeholders on lease and asset matters.

The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of lease terminology and tracking systems, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the leasing process associated with our tenant leases in Canada and help manage our assets to maximize return on investment.
  • Prepare and coordinate all lease-related documentation, including new leases, extensions, modifications, notices of termination, and other related documents.
  • Conduct credit, reference, and background checks on prospective tenants.
  • Ensure that all leasing activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with the finance department for accurate and timely payment of rents and other rental charges.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all leasing activities, lease terms, and expiration dates in the contract management database.
  • Perform periodic lease audits to ensure compliance with all lease terms.
  • Prepare reports on leasing activities for management.
  • Track market trends and ensure competitive rents; provide value-added advice and support to other company departments in lease management.
  • Maintain the contract management database.
  • Review rents to ensure compliance with company requirements.
  • Coordinate and assist the finance department in identifying areas for operational improvement across various business units; conduct research and develop initiatives or strategies to optimize operations and drive EBITDA growth.
  • Collaborate with the legal and finance departments and other relevant departments to evaluate operational procedures in order to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist on special projects that may be cross-functional in nature, associated with business process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration, real estate, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • More than 2 years of experience in the business aviation sector, specifically in lease administration, asset management, or real estate coordination.
  • In-depth knowledge of lease terminology, real estate contracts, and real estate activities.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
