Summary of Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating inspections, installations and major modifications;
  • Participate in all meetings related to the major project assigned;
  • Supervise all work and manage project execution;
  • Support electrical and structural engineering requirements and STC development;
  • Review all work and coordinate all requirements related to materials, parts, tooling and external services;
  • Identify and track key milestones with the project manager and the avionics lead;
  • Participate in problem resolution and devise solutions;
  • Verify work, assess identified defects and provide necessary information to remediate them;
  • Complete relevant technical documentation;
  • Provide support to procurement as required;
  • Review the work package to ensure labour objectives for the installation are met;
  • Review project work hours to align with the avionics proposal and control eligible costs;
  • Verify accuracy of work packages, billing groups and invoices;
  • Ensure work log versions are prepared after maintenance;
  • Assist with other related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Post-secondary diploma in aircraft maintenance / avionics program or a related field;
  • Valid Transport Canada Category E licence;
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in a related role in avionics installation;
  • Experience working on corporate-type aircraft; experience with Bombardier products is an asset;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure;
  • Ability to function as a team lead; supervisory experience is an asset;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts.
