POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for ensuring effective fleet maintenance planning, from forecasting and budgeting to supplier coordination and technical reviews, to ensure safe, compliant, and optimized aircraft availability. If you are an M2 licensed AME with a strong background in business jets and enjoy transforming technical requirements into concrete, executable maintenance plans, this role offers high visibility and a strong level of autonomy across the entire fleet lifecycle.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure accurate forecasting and planning for all scheduled maintenance, in accordance with approved internal and external maintenance programs, company policies, procedures, and contractual agreements.
- Plan and reschedule work as needed, according to approved procedures, to optimize the use of resources, tools, and facilities across all bases.
- Be able to research, read, and understand aircraft maintenance manuals to provide accurate estimates of labor and parts required for specific tasks.
- Perform regular reviews of Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB), as required.
- Review vendor scopes of work and proposals, validate their accuracy, and present them to stakeholders.
- Prepare annual maintenance budgets and present them to stakeholders.
- Review technical documentation and certificates of release to service to ensure technical dispatch procedures are followed.
- Track aircraft technical deferrals (MEL, CDL) and ensure their timely resolution.
- Maintain the history of fleet AOG groundings and support aircraft integration and retirement processes.
- Assist the manager with various related tasks.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS:
- Completed Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) degree or equivalent.
- Valid Transport Canada M2 AME license.
- Minimum of 7 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including business jet experience.
- Proficiency in maintenance tracking systems and Microsoft 365.
- Excellent knowledge of CARs (Canadian Aviation Regulations) and maintenance coordination.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
