Objective of the role:
This position is responsible for ensuring effective planning of fleet maintenance — from forecasting and budgeting to vendor coordination and technical reviews — to ensure aircraft availability that is safe, compliant and optimized.
If you are an AME/technician (M2 licence) with strong business aircraft experience and enjoy turning technical requirements into concrete, actionable maintenance plans, this role offers high visibility and a strong degree of autonomy across the fleet lifecycle.
Summary of responsibilities:
- Provide accurate forecasting and planning for all scheduled maintenance in accordance with approved internal and external maintenance programs, company policies, procedures and contractual agreements.
- Plan and replan work as required, following approved procedures to optimize the use of resources, tools and facilities across bases.
- Research, read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals to provide accurate estimates of labor and parts required for specific tasks.
- Conduct regular reviews of Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB) as required.
- Review scopes of work and vendor proposals, validate their accuracy and present them to stakeholders.
- Prepare annual maintenance budgets and present them to stakeholders.
- Review technical documentation and release-to-service certificates to ensure return-to-service procedures are followed.
- Monitor aircraft technical deferrals (MEL, CDL) and ensure their timely resolution.
- Maintain the fleet AOG immobilization history and support aircraft induction and retirement processes.
- Assist the manager with various related tasks.
Qualifications and required skills:
- Completed Aircraft Maintenance Technician diploma (or equivalent).
- Valid M2 AME/technician licence issued by Transport Canada.
- Minimum 7 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including business aircraft experience.
- Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems and Microsoft 365.
- Excellent knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and maintenance coordination.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
Benefits:
- Employer supplemental contributions to the RRSP
- Health, vision and dental plans
- Paid vacation
