View all the job opportunities for this companyAs a Quality Leader, you are responsible for ensuring that the quality of P&WC suppliers’ products, processes, and services meets internal and regulatory requirements and continuously improves.
The Quality Leader is also responsible for defining, executing, and deploying strategies and action plans aimed at improving supplier quality performance. You will lead a team of experienced quality professionals responsible for managing and improving the quality performance of assigned suppliers by developing tactical, strategic, and operational plans that support the achievement of short- and long-term objectives.
The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Manages the execution of key elements of supplier quality improvement and development plans.
- Leads a team of experienced quality and supplier development professionals within a defined organization.
- Provides guidance on the implementation of quality initiatives.
- Manages supplier quality issues through escape management monitoring and escalation processes, non-conforming material disposition handling, and MRB process support.
- Supports supplier qualification/certification.
- Supports source inspection and material release processes.
- Ensures the deployment of escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and problem-solving (Red-X & 8D).
- Recommends corrective and preventive measures for supplier-provided product issues.
- Establishes corrective action/quality clinic boards with selected suppliers.
- Supports the CORE program at RTX suppliers to ensure healthy and sustainable continuous improvement.
- Analyzes available data to identify systemic issues and develop quality strategies and initiatives using proactive quality tools (e.g., PFMEA, process and control plans, SPC, etc.).
- Leads the execution of long-term strategies (e.g., 3+ years) and operational direction for an organization of defined size and scope.
- Encountered problems may be difficult to moderately complex.
- Influences others outside their own employment domain regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
- Develops and leads the implementation of supplier-specific quality initiative strategies.
- Leads supplier quality-related activities, such as raw material evaluation, design of contract manufactured items, and/or material packaging.
- Supports the team to ensure suppliers can meet all requirements for work transfer and process change management, including PPAP certification.
- Ensures that supplier product and process quality complies with internal and regulatory standards and continuously improves.
What do you need to succeed?
- University degree and 10 years of relevant experience
- 5 to 10 years of management experience
- Experience with PFMEA and DFMEA (an asset)
- Knowledge of PPAP elements (an asset)
- Experience with process walking and product auditing
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes
- RedX - Green Belt 6 Sigma
- Experience in aeronautics is an asset
This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment, nevertheless it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with clients, suppliers, or international colleagues.
