Role and Challenges
As a key member of the site Management Committee in Mirabel, you will drive the strategic and operational management of assembly activities for the A220 programs (Forward & Aft sections) and G8000 (Mid fuselage). Your mission is to turn industrial excellence into a lever for sustainable economic performance.
Responsibilities: Productivity and Competitiveness
1. Steering Economic Performance
- Budget Responsibility: Directly manage the budget for all functions reporting to you operationally and functionally.
- Cost Optimization: Develop and lead action plans to align production costs with the objectives of the competitiveness plan (managing variances, cycle times, non-quality).
- Operational Efficiency: Create opportunities to generate continuous efficiency gains and reduce unit product costs.
- Performance Reporting: Rigorously report on achievement of annual cost objectives set in target letters.
2. Industrial Strategy and Lean Management
- Lean Governance: Deploy the most agile organization possible, based on empowerment of cross-functional teams (MFT).
- Standard of Excellence: Ensure operational excellence via AAOS (Airbus Atlantic Operating System) standards to secure long-term robustness.
- Strategic Vision: Establish 5-year strategic and tactical planning to address future industrial challenges.
- Product Improvement: Prepare the evolution strategy for future products to optimize manufacturing, weight and the overall competitiveness of the plant.
3. Delivery and Quality
- Operational Objectives: Ensure deliveries while meeting Quality, Time and Cost standards (SQCDP).
- Risk Management: Anticipate production risks in collaboration with Procurement, Logistics and Engineering.
- HSE: Ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environment within the plant.
Profile / Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in operations management or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in production management in a similar role.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of the aerospace sector, quality systems and an industrial excellence system (AOS, MES).
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead multiple hierarchical levels, resilience under pressure and managerial agility.
- Languages: Fluent in French and English required.
Working Conditions
- On-site: Time split between the office and the production floor (PPE must be worn).
- Mobility: Travel to Europe expected (approximately 3 x 1 week per year).
- Preferred start date: August 2026.
