Porter Airlines is seeking a highly technical and commercially minded leader to oversee the Revenue Management Systems function. The Director, Revenue Management Systems is responsible for the strategic administration, optimization, integration, and evolution of the airline's Revenue Management System (RMS) ecosystem.
This role sits at the intersection of airline commercial strategy, operations research, software engineering, data engineering, and analytics. The successful candidate will lead the team responsible for the airline's core RMS platform, all associated data pipelines and integrations, internally developed optimization and automation tools, and advanced analytical support for Revenue Management.
The Director will serve as the organization's subject matter expert on revenue management systems and decision science infrastructure, ensuring the airline's forecasting, optimization, inventory management, and pricing capabilities remain robust, scalable, and commercially effective.
This is a highly influential leadership role requiring deep institutional thinking, strong technical capability, and the ability to bridge commercial business requirements with advanced system and analytical solutions.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead the administration, configuration, development, maintenance, and strategic evolution of Porter's Revenue Management System (RMS).
- Responsible for the end-to-end technical ecosystem supporting Revenue Management systems and adjacent commercial processes.
- Provide technical and analytical leadership in areas including forecasting, optimization, demand modeling, inventory controls, pricing analytics, experimentation frameworks, and decision-support tooling.
- Conceptualize, build and manage analytical and technical solutions for complex commercial problems using a team of system engineers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external RMS vendors and technology partners and work with them to shape their product roadmap, prioritize enhancements, manage issue escalation, and conduct periodic system performance reviews.
- Lead the design, maintenance, and optimization of ETL/data integration pipelines between Passenger Service Systems (PSS), Revenue Management Systems (RMS), internal data warehouses, reporting environments and commercial and operational systems.
- Responsible for integrity, accuracy, timeliness, and resiliency of all RM-related data flows.
- Oversee system monitoring, process health checks, failure detection, and operational support procedures.
- Ensure appropriate documentation, change management, and operational controls exist for critical RM systems.
- Support executive-level presentations and strategic initiatives with data-driven analysis and recommendations.
- Lead and mentor a team of RM system specialists and AI engineers.
- Actively participate in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS) by identifying and reporting workplace hazards and promoting a safe work environment.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the organization.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in airline Revenue Management, Revenue Management Systems, Airline reservation systems (PSS), Operations Research, airline commercial systems, or related analytical/technical fields.
- Experience with commercial airline RMS vendors.
- Experience building production-grade analytical tooling or internal optimization systems.
- Experience leading a technical team of engineers and analysts.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, distributed data systems, and modern data engineering practices.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in high pressure environments.
- A Master's or PhD in AI, OR, or a related technical field will be an added advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of: Machine Learning, AI applications, Forecasting techniques, Stochastic optimization, Simulation modeling.
