Leadership of a team dedicated to product development or technical support to operations as part of the Project Engineering group.

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Lead a team of project engineers supporting operations across all P&WC product family range.

  • Define and achieve product requirements for various projects.

  • Ensure product safety remains on top of everything all the time.

  • Lead with efficiency multi-disciplinary teams to achieve KPIs (Key Performance Indicator) such as weight, cost, reliability while ensuring other requirements from other organizations are met.

  • Lead the substantiation and validation activities or those required to ensure Type certification requirements are met.

  • Ensure commitments, budget tracking and resource planning all are met.


What do you need to be successful?

  • Engineering degree with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong understanding of gas turbines from design, validation and certification aspects acquired inside at least more than one Engineering discipline and inside at least one external assignment (Marketing, Operations, Customer Support).

  • Capability to manage a team and demonstrate strong leadership.

  • While being highly adaptable and able to work under pressure, the candidate shall accommodate priority changes, based on available information and be able to manage diverging opinions to get one reconciled voice to support business objectives and emerging priorities.

  • Strong communication skills both internal and external, accountability and well organized.

  • Be a member of Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec or of the Professional Engineers of Ontario.

  • Available for travel sometimes under short notice and support off-hour requests.

  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
