We are currently seeking a qualified electromechanical technician to join our general services team. In this key role, the successful candidate will contribute to the proper functioning of facilities and equipment by performing preventive and corrective maintenance work on machinery and the building, as well as carrying out certain administrative tasks. We are looking for a versatile candidate with solid experience in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform corrective work as well as maintenance work on machinery and the building in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan.
  • Carry out certain administrative tasks such as maintenance planning, closing work orders, and providing performance indicators.
  • Perform any other related tasks assigned by the service manager.

Qualifications / Requirements

We are looking for:

  • Hold a vocational diploma in electromechanics.
  • Hold a journeyman competency card in electricity (C licence) or be in the process of obtaining it.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in industry.
  • Be comfortable performing work involving the following specialties: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, hydraulic and pneumatic.
  • Be able to work with computer tools (Microsoft Suite and others).
  • Be available one week out of three at all times to respond to emergency calls (compensatory pay).
  • Have knowledge of SAP.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.

Assets

  • Have safety training.
  • Hold a first-aid (emergency first aid) certification.
  • Have good spoken English.
