What you need to succeed
- College diploma (DEC) in electrotechnology, industrial electronics or industrial electronics technology
- CÉ Licence (Hors-Construction) required
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
- Expertise in controls
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens) and their programming software
- Proficiency in reading electrical and electrotechnical drawings and schematics
- Networking knowledge
- Knowledge of Fanuc and ABB robotics
- Excellent interpersonal skills: teamwork and a positive attitude
- Perseverance, tenacity and resourcefulness
- Critical and innovative thinking and the ability to take controlled risks
- This role is based in a French-speaking work environment; however, functional English is required to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terminology that may come from international organizations, as well as to write and occasionally communicate in English with clients, suppliers or international colleagues.
What your day will look like
Your daily challenge will be to ensure effective and functional maintenance of the production equipment used to produce Pratt & Whitney aircraft and helicopter engine components.
- You will work in a clean, safe manufacturing environment made up of both state-of-the-art machinery and an older equipment fleet.
- You will be responsible for keeping more than 1,800 CNC machines and other equipment in good working order by performing various preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance tasks, as well as updates and diverse maintenance work on different controllers.
- You will have the opportunity to refine different aspects of your trade and explore related areas through electrical and electronic repair work to become a recognized expert able to operate across our whole machine park (serviceman level).
- Your expertise will be called upon to diagnose and perform repairs on the company's critical equipment spanning multiple technologies.
- You will participate in continuous improvement projects and in the introduction processes for new equipment.
- You will take part in joint working sessions with multiple trades and experienced professionals to find lasting solutions to recurring problems.
