What you need to succeed
College diploma (DEC) in electrotechnology, industrial electronics, or industrial electronics technology
Out-of-Construction Licence (CÉ) (asset)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Expertise in control
Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens) and their programming software
Mastery of reading electrical and electrotechnical drawings
Knowledge of networking
Knowledge of Fanuc and ABB robotics
Excellent interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude
Demonstrate perseverance, tenacity, and resourcefulness
Critical and innovative thinking and ability to take calculated risks
This position is in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a functional knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings, and technical terms from international organizations, as well as to write and occasionally communicate in English with international clients, suppliers, or colleagues.
What your daily routine will look like
Your daily challenge will be to ensure efficient and functional maintenance of the production equipment for Pratt & Whitney aircraft and helicopter parts.
You will work in a clean and safe manufacturing environment composed of both state-of-the-art machinery and an older equipment park.
You will be responsible for maintaining over 1,800 numerical control and other machines in good working order by performing various preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work as well as updates and various maintenance tasks on different controllers.
You will have the opportunity to hone different facets of your trade and explore related sectors during electrical and electronic repair work to become a recognized expert capable of intervening with ease across our entire machine park (serviceman level).
Your expertise will be called upon to perform diagnostics in order to execute repairs on critical company equipment involving several different technologies.
You will participate in continuous improvement projects and new equipment introduction processes.
You will take part in joint workshops with multiple trades and experienced professionals to find sustainable solutions to recurring problems.
