Airframe Materials and Processes (M&P) Expert

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an Airframe Materials and Processes Expert to join our Engineering team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will develop strong collaboration links with European counterparts.

You will be part of the aerostructures engineering team, where you will also support special projects, activities, and initiatives aimed at growing the structural competence centre's knowledge base. You will create value for the customer—and ultimately for Airbus—by delivering assignments that influence both internal and external stakeholders

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as Airframe M&P (Materials and Processes) Expert will be to serve as a strategic guide, technical reference, and mentor for the team's engineers.

Your challenges :

• Capture, disseminate, and transfer knowledge to airframe teams while applying and improving Airbus standards and best practices (including A220 benchmark lessons learned).
• Establish and drive expert networks to support the integration of the A220 program into the Airbus family.
• Provide expert support on technical issues and queries identified within your center of competency.
• Advise and influence management to enhance operational solutions.
• Drive research and innovation in your domain of expertise, both locally and internationally.
• Develop strong collaboration links with European counterparts.
• Represent Airbus at conferences, universities, and external bodies (including standardization groups).
• Lead or support strategic projects and initiatives that advance the knowledge growth of the Airframe center of competency.

Your boarding pass :

• University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Solid professional experience in Airframe M&P expertise, aircraft program development, and sustaining engineering.
• Recognized technical expertise on a global scale and a proven track record of managing complex multi-project environments autonomously.
• Strong communication, leadership, and influence skills to share technical knowledge and guide decision-making at all organizational levels.
• Multidisciplinary mindset, innovative attitude, and ability to bring state-of-the-art technologies into Airbus.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Collaborative mindset, humble, eager to learn from others, and passionate about collective achievements.
• Proficiency in English and French (written and spoken).

This role involves occasional business travel (domestic & overseas).

Due to the sector of activity (aerospace), frequent contacts with Airbus entities worldwide, and interactions with suppliers and clients also located across the globe, proficiency in English is required for this position.
