What your day-to-day will look like
The candidate must install, maintain, test, and repair complex air conditioning and ventilation units, as well as related electrical, electronic, and pneumatic controls.
What you need to succeed
Desired skills
In-depth knowledge in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning, electrical principles, controls and safety devices, as well as repair techniques
Ability to use applied formulas and mathematics, interpret blueprints and specifications, and use various instruments such as a gas detector, gauge, pump, and various types of electrical measuring instruments
Ease in troubleshooting problems
Ability to work at heights
Knowledge of the Windows and SAP environment
Very good teamwork skills
Education
DEP in refrigeration mechanics
Refrigeration mechanic qualification certificate as required by law
Qualification certificate for the handling of refrigerants as required by law
Experience
Three to four years of relevant experience in the field.
