HR IM Applications Manager

We are looking for a HR IM application manager to join our Digital for Corporate North American team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will serve as IT Product and Service Manager for the Human Resources.

Your role as HR IM Application Manager will be to drive end-to-end lifecycle management of HR IT products and applications related to Human Capital and Learning Management, with a strong focus on Workday HCM and Time Management modules. This role serves as an important digital interface for HR business stakeholders, ensuring the stability, compliance, and continuous improvement of core HR systems within the Airbus North American entities.

Your challenges:

  • Product Strategy & Delivery: Accountable for participating in the definition of the product roadmap, managing the full service lifecycle (design, industrialization, operation, support), and driving system improvements with a specialized focus on Workday HCM and Time Tracking functionalities.

  • Solution Design & Configuration: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Design Authority for Workday configuration in key areas, translating complex business needs (especially in HCM and Time) into efficient, scalable IT solutions.

  • Service Excellence: Ensure high quality of service delivery, meeting agreed-upon SLAs, managing vendor and integrator performance, and assuring compliance with IM standards and cyber security requirements.

  • Stakeholder Management: Contribute to multi-functional teams, manage escalations, and foster strong collaboration with both local HR and global IT counterparts to align North American requirements with the global HR Information Systems strategy.

  • Deep Dive Analysis: Lead detailed analysis sessions for complex business requirements, focusing heavily on Core HCM and complex time and absence scenarios. Identify gaps, develop workaround solutions, and propose system design modifications.

  • Workday Configuration & Testing: Design, customize, and rigorously test HR processes within Workday and its integrations. Specifically, lead the configuration, testing, and deployment efforts for modules’ implementations or enhancements.

  • System Integrity & Roadmap: Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshooting and related legacy HR applications to maintain optimal integrity and functionality.

  • Service Governance: Monitor and manage the fulfillment of Service and Operations Level Agreements Agreements for HR IT services.

  • Liaison and Crisis Management: Act as the key IT contributor in front of internal customers during system crises or escalations, liaising with internal/external resolver groups to ensure rapid corrective action, especially concerning production issues impacting payroll deadlines or time entry accuracy.

  • Service Improvement: Define and implement continuous improvement actions, manage cost allocation, and work with other IM domains to define a strategic product roadmap.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive functional design documents, test cases, and knowledge base articles specific to our Workday HCM and Time Tracking solutions.

  • Provide governance support and coordinate regular meetings with HR business customers, suppliers, and global IM partners.

  • Vendor Performance: Track the performance of system Integrators and suppliers using contractual KPIs, initiating and overseeing recommendations for improvement.

Your profile:

  • This role may involve some travels for business (worldwide).

  • Regular business travels will be expected; consequently you must be willing to travel accordingly.

  • Possible on-call duties during week-ends and/or holiday seasons.
