We are looking for a proactive and autonomous Warehouse Manager to take charge of operations for a new warehouse. As the first person on site, you will be responsible for the initial setup, process implementation, and daily management of inventory and logistics activities with a small team (2-3 people).
Your role Warehouse Management
You will structure, organize, and supervise all warehouse activities to ensure an efficient, safe environment aligned with the company's production and shipping needs. You will play a key role in implementing processes and continuously improving logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Define the physical layout of the warehouse to optimize reception, storage, and shipping.
- Implement labeling, shelving, and workflow systems.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment compliant with current standards.
Inventory and material handling
- Receive raw materials, verify document compliance, and enter them into the system.
- Store materials in an organized manner and maintain accurate and up-to-date inventories.
- Prepare materials for production according to daily needs.
- Manage the storage of finished products and maintain required inventory levels.
Shipping and outbound operations
- Prepare shipments: packaging, labeling, documentation.
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers.
Operational efficiency
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements in warehouse processes.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
Requirements
Education and experience
- Relevant experience in warehouse management, logistics, or inventory management.
- Interest in managing a small team.
- Ability to work autonomously and take charge of a new operational environment.
Key skills
- Excellent organization and rigor.
- Autonomy, sense of responsibility, and initiative.
- Ability to use inventory or warehouse management software (WMS).
- Communication and collaboration skills.
- Forklift experience or certification an asset.
- Proficiency in French; functional English.
