As an MRO Performance Optimization Manager, you play a key role in optimizing costs and performance for engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) shop visits. You manage cost execution and maintenance strategy for assigned engines, ensuring alignment with technical requirements, customer expectations, and business goals.

Acting as a central interface between shop operations, engineering, finance, supply chain, and customer teams, you translate technical realities into informed operational and commercial decisions. You drive execution through proactive communication, rapid escalation, and strong cross-functional alignment, while supporting customer managers with the insights needed to manage both client relationships and financial performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve workflows, decision-making, reporting, and operational performance, thereby shaping the future state of the organization.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, data utilization, and business processes to enhance cost visibility and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

The position is full-time from Monday to Friday with flexible schedules in Longueuil and is performed exclusively on-site.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Manage costs and optimize the scope of work for engine MRO shop visits, making informed operational and commercial decisions to balance technical requirements, customer commitments, production goals, and financial performance.
• Act as the primary integrator between the shop floor, engineering, supply chain, finance, and customer managers, facilitating alignment, account management, and rapid resolution of complex operational issues.
• Proactively identify operational, technical, and financial risks throughout the lifecycle of MRO shop visits, driving escalations, mitigation strategies, and action plans to maximize business outcomes and customer value.
• Optimize shop visit costs and performance by critically evaluating repair strategies, questioning estimates and invoices, validating data integrity, and ensuring alignment with contractual and operational objectives.
• Influence strategic and operational decision-making through data-driven analysis, trend analysis, and performance reporting, enabling proactive management of cost drivers and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Establish robust governance and communication practices with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and executive-level visibility on critical shop visit performance topics.
• Promote a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned, standardizing best practices, and influencing organizational change initiatives.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy and decision-making authority within assigned portfolios in complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous operational environments.

What you need to succeed

Required Qualifications

• Technical diploma in aerospace; AME license; or university degree in engineering or science.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in engine maintenance and repair.
• Experience working within an MRO operations environment.

Desirable Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
• Knowledge of technical documentation, engine performance, maintenance documentation, and the overall engine repair process.
• Analytical skills and ability to interpret cost and performance data to guide technical and business decisions.
• Critical thinking and curiosity to identify risks and opportunities related to the engine in the shop.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and influence multiple multidisciplinary teams in a complex and dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of financial principles during repair (cost drivers, margin analysis, invoicing process) is an asset.

This position operates in a French-speaking work environment; however, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms originating from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with international clients, suppliers, or colleagues.
