Sales Contracts Manager

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Sales Contract Manager to join our Sales Contract team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work in conjunction with the Mirabel Delivery Management team and the Airbus Sales Contract Management team based in Toulouse.

You will be part of the Contract management team responsible for coordinating and managing the contractual process of aircraft delivery, including the transfer of ownership of the aircraft from Airbus to the customer.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as Sales Contract Manager will be to monitor and ensure the performance of all terms and conditions set out in the aircraft sales purchase contract.

You will also provide support to the Airbus Business Units in the preparation and negotiation of new contractual agreements and/or modification of existing agreements with customers, as well as monitor the performance of all contractual obligations within the deadlines set out in the purchase contract, by both the customer and Airbus. In particular, you will monitor all payment obligations - in millions/billions of dollars - from the signing of the purchase contract through to final payment for the aircraft by the customer at the time of delivery.

Your challenges:

  • Record the purchase agreement data into the Airbus database;

  • Issue any notices due under the purchase agreement in a timely manner;

  • Monitor all contractual deadlines (contractual rights and obligations);

  • Monitor the payment by the customer of any amount due under the purchase agreement including predelivery payment, final aircraft price and any other payment obligation set forth in the purchase agreement;

  • Prepare and manage the delivery process in full compliance with the Sales Contracts Management aircraft delivery process;

  • Represent Airbus during the delivery process;

  • Support the Business Units before signature of the purchase agreement (PDP simulation, price computation, proofreading, etc.);

  • establish and maintain a good commercial relationship with customers, ensuring correct interpretation and implementation of the contractual obligations;

  • makes decisions and/or recommendations to its management in line with Airbus’ commercial objectives after identifying and evaluating cost, risks and benefits;

  • Manages and implements accurately all contractual provisions;

  • Contributes to Airbus objectives in terms of cash flow, on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.

Your boarding pass:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field;

  • You have a minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in contract negotiation activities or related field. Industry experience is preferred;

  • You have strong legal background (English law, French law, NY law);

  • You have good knowledge and understanding of all contractual terms and conditions;

  • You have good communication skills due to the numerous number of internal/external interfaces, and the sensitiveness and criticality of topics to be managed;

  • You are comfortable with IT tools (SAP, Google suite, internal tools) and/or have an ease in learning new tools;

  • You have the highest level of accuracy and correctness for all data sent to internal/external counterparts;

  • You are proficient in French and English.

This role may involve some travels for business within overseas

Possible on-call duties during week-ends and/or holiday seasons.
