Modernization Manager / Retrofit Manager

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Retrofit Manager to join our Retrofit Operations team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work with multi-functional teams.
You will be part of the Retrofit Operations team responsible for providing efficient and reliable solutions for the in-service fleet on standard service bulletins and monitoring according to economic reasons or difficult supply chain.
The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your role as Retrofit manager will be to support the improvement of the aircraft maturity. The A220 Retrofit Manager is the key enabler of the A220 In Service Operations process. In that context the A220 Retrofit Manager has the responsibility to manage the retrofit solutions and the Request for stock provisioning (eRSP) for modifications, upgrades kits and defensive spares for the A220 program.

Your challenges:
You will initiate, prepare, launch and monitor retrofit solutions in accordance with program/customer targets (time, cost, and quality):
Understand the technical solution and take the lead of the deployment (responsible on behalf of program)
Contribute & challenge program retrofit & mitigation strategy and support development of technical solution
Translates the program & retrofit requirements (target cost per aircraft, embodiment rate, policy etc.) into inputs to other departments, including the “Supply chain manager retrofit”
Provide all required inputs to “Supply Chain manager” to enable supply chain industrialization of retrofit with kits
Contribute to negotiation supplier capacity & cost alignment with Procurement (PMR/PCR/PES), material reservation and missing parts management
Define & steer all inputs from engineering, procurement, suppliers, supply chain, program to ensure global retrofit material strategy in accordance with retrofit objectives (time, cost, quality) and the retrofit embodiment until final fleet completion
Creates a planning between Airbus, Supplier and Operator. Follows the embodiment of the retrofit with the Airline
Prepare, launch and monitor eRSP in accordance with program/customer targets (time, cost, and quality):
Collect & challenge eRSP inputs from requestor
Define & steer all inputs from engineering, procurement, suppliers, supply chain, program to ensure and document global strategy in accordance with program objectives (time, cost, quality)
Present and ensure eRSP validation
Monitor eRSP and ensure material reception, consumption after eRSP validation
Manage any deviation on eRSP performance and turn rate: analyze material ordering/inbound/oubound, corrective actions on PO/eRSP characteristics, etc.
Manage eRSP financial performance
Prepare eRSP for closure and participate in closure meeting
Suggest continuous improvement and use digital solutions (such as Skywise, etc ..) to develop internal tools to help the team in performing
Travel Required: <5% Domestic and International.
