The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Satair A220 Program Manager to join our Satair A220 Program Management team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work together with the diverse A220 teams in Mirabel and Satair.
You will be part of the Satair A220 Program Management team working on several cross-functional projects in line with our ambitious strategy. Thanks to the diversity of personalities in our team, we are ready to meet every challenge, whether detailed or high-level strategy.
As Satair A220 Program Manager, your role will be to implement cross-functional initiatives to create new levels of support that our customers will appreciate.
Responsibilities
- Identify process gaps related to the A220 compared to existing programs, evaluate different ways of working that require specific processes or roles, and launch improvement workshops;
- Lead cross-functional projects/activities to evolve the A220 business. These projects require energy and leadership to work across the organization;
- Take ownership of your projects/activities by managing the defined and associated key performance indicators;
- Ensure visibility of the roadmap and expected improvements for your projects/activities and the overall program to stakeholders;
- Be accountable for benefits and net margin for processes, products, policy-related issues, and costs along the defined path and for the overall program;
- Help adapt ways of working to fleet development/footprint, prepare profitability analyses and relevant projects to prepare for the future;
- Work closely with commercial directors, support directors and internal customers to strengthen customer confidence in Airbus' commitment to support the A220 program.
Requirements
Your profile:
- University degree in economics, business administration, marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is an asset;
- At least ten (10) years' experience in program, project or product management within an industrial multinational (preferably aerospace);
- Able to manage a wide variety of assignments, particularly during transition and improvement phases, with empathy and a desire to help others;
- Strong analytical skills used to keep a high-level view and think outside the box; the ideal candidate is creative and strategic but also precise and pragmatic in execution;
- Consultative mindset with the ability to identify process gaps and propose workarounds; enjoys implementing new solutions to complex problems involving many stakeholders;
- Able to build strong, trust-based relationships and manage expectations; values listening as much as the ability to provide clear explanations and solve potential issues;
- Delivery-, customer- and technically-oriented, comfortable working autonomously while fostering strong internal and external collaboration;
- Excellent commercial skills and strong business acumen — 3 to 5 years' experience in commercial roles; understanding of financial projections and meeting financial targets is required;
- Comfortable negotiating, presenting, influencing and driving change;
- Preferably solid understanding of the aftermarket aviation supply chain or similar industries — 3 to 5 years' experience;
- Experience with agile ways of working;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French, and effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
