We are looking for a driven and experienced Operations Program Engineer – Advanced Industrialization to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of industrial readiness for sustainable component manufacturing, assembly, and test within advanced aerospace engine programs. You will be responsible for ensuring that new components and engines are industrialized on time, within budget, and meet the required quality, maturity, and production rate targets, leveraging digitally enabled production environments.

In this central role, you will bridge technical engineering activities with program schedules, budgets, risk management, and cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Finance, Aftermarket, Marketing, Quality, R&T, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Assembly & Test (A&T) sites. You will lead multidisciplinary projects involving innovative propulsion technologies, advanced supply chains, and state-of-the-art assembly and test environments, ensuring that industrial readiness requirements are fully integrated from the earliest phases of the program.

Working closely with engineering, aftermarket, marketing, and operations teams, you will share your expertise and contribute to strategic program objectives such as budgeting, risk management, and cross-functional coordination. The position is based on-site in Longueuil, with flexible hours from Monday to Friday. Frequent travel and variable hours are also to be expected for interactions with suppliers, partners, and internal sites (manufacturing and A&T).

What will your day-to-day look like?

Project Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional industrialization projects for new engine components, modules, and assembly/test operations, across Demonstrator programs and archetypes 1–10.
  • Own and manage industrialization project plans from concept to Program Go (for engines) or project closure (for Demonstrators).
  • Define and track project milestones, resource plans, budgets, and deliverables aligned with engine development schedules.
  • Ensure readiness across component manufacturing, modules/engine assembly, and test facility integration.
  • Identify and manage project risks, develop mitigation plans, and monitor KPIs (TRL/MRL, FAI status, process capability, maturity gates).
  • Support the Program Cost Controller in defining cost baselines and tracking evolution; collaborate with Engineering, suppliers, and partners to identify cost-efficient design and manufacturing alternatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the deployment of Enterprise initiatives such as APQP, Design to Cost, DfM, DfA, and program management best practices.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary interface between Operations and Program Management (Engineering, Finance, Aftermarket, Marketing) for Advanced Industrialization topics.
  • Lead IPTs, industrial readiness reviews (IRRs), and support internal/external design reviews (PDRs/CDRs) and customer meetings.
  • Escalate and resolve project risks, blockers, and cross-functional dependencies.

Budget & Resource Control

  • Develop and manage industrialization budgets, including CapEx, OpEx, digital solutions, and production start-up activities.
  • Support CapEx justifications for new equipment, tooling, and infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the digital transformation of manufacturing and assembly/test operations, including data integration.

Technical Oversight

  • Ensure full industrial coverage of critical processes: advanced manufacturing (casting, forging, machining, coatings, AM), module assembly/integration, testing, and data capture systems.
  • Validate product and process maturity to meet program rate, quality, and cost targets.
  • Contribute to make-or-buy decisions and assess suppliers, partner, and site readiness, ensuring risk and budget alignment.

Operations Coordination within Program IPTs

  • Ensure Advanced Industrialization Buyers and Industrial Engineers are actively engaged in program IPTs at the component, module, and assembly levels.
  • Support IPTs in meeting product requirements across design, development, manufacturing, and aftermarket phases, as defined by the PMT.

What do you need to be successful?

Must-haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in aerospace engine industrialization, manufacturing, or operations. Strong knowledge of engine components, materials, and manufacturing and testing processes.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project or program management within a technical and cross-functional environment.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-site or multi-partner projects, with strong leadership in change management.
  • Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with TRL/MRL frameworks, FAI/APQP processes, and quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP).

Assets

  • Project management certification (PMP®, PRINCE2®, or equivalent).
  • Experience with large engine programs (civil or military).
  • Background in business case development and budget management.
  • Knowledge of digital manufacturing tools, PLM/MES systems, or industrial IoT technologies.
  • Experience managing capital projects (equipment, facilities, test beds).
  • Knowledge of additional languages.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
