The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Buyer Furnished Equipment Manager (f/m) to join our team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will be working in the Cabin environment in close relations with Customers.

You will be part of the BFE Management team responsible for coordinating the Airbus Canada Cabin team, the Customers and the BFE Suppliers to secure the on-time and on-quality deliveries of the BFE equipment selected by the Customers

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as BFE manager will be to.

  • Be the focal point for any BFE related activities for a given Customer. Create a trustful relationship with the Customers to support BFE activities until the delivery of the last aircraft of the fleet.

  • Secure the development phase and the certification of the BFE equipment together with the multifunctional team to be able to deliver them on time and on quality to the assembly lines (Mobile and Mirabel)

  • Be in close contact with cabin suppliers to be able to identify and mitigate risks to anticipate any development delay.

Your challenges:

  • The BFE Manager acts as the voice of the Customer within Airbus Procurement Organization.and represents the Procurement organization within the Program FCO (Fulfil Customer Order) Core Team which is accountable to deliver the overall customisation for a given aircraft fleet.

  • For specific Customer’s request, trigger the Airbus offerability review (i.e. BFE Offerability Risk Assessment) to confirm offerability status and communicate the associated risks to Customers.

  • Present Airbus BFE Management process to Customers, and ensure their understanding and responsibility as BFE contract holders.

  • Secure vendors/product selection with the airline for all BFE equipments for the Head of Version and following aircraft

  • Manage and secure the on-time and on-quality development of Cabin BFE equipment selected by the Customer

  • Lead the End-to-End HoV management process for BFE, within the global FCO process (Fulfil Customer Orders) until BFE equipment delivery to FAL (On-Dock dates),

  • Identify and assess any risk potentially impacting the development and if any, setting up the associated mitigation actions and monitoring them in liaison with the different stakeholders.

  • Escalate when necessary any critical issue internally and externally up to senior Management (Airbus Program & Procurement, Suppliers and Customers). Support the claim process in close cooperation with the Procurement team (Buyer).

  • Ensure the on-time and on-quality releases and updates of the BFE lists to the Customers to secure Customer POs in line with aircraft industrial planning until the delivery of the last aircraft of the fleet.

  • Manage, when needed, the return/disposal of BFE stock surplus with Airlines / Leasing companies after aircraft delivery or following aircraft re allocation

Your boarding pass:

  • You have a minimum of 5 years experience in the aerospace industry.

  • Language skills : Advanced of French and English

  • Leadership and team management : Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary project team, delegate effectively, and resolve conflicts.

  • Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels (suppliers, engineers, management).

  • Risk management : Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to procurement projects (delays, non-conformities, price fluctuations).

  • Customer and results orientation : Strong focus on satisfying internal customer needs and achieving project objectives.

  • Problem solving : Ability to anticipate problems, analyze complex situations, and propose innovative and effective solutions.

  • Proficiency in Gsuite, SAP. If you have experience in coding it would be a plus.

This role will involve some travels for business (worldwide).
