The A220 commercial aircraft program is seeking a Project Manager specializing in risk and performance management to join our Project Management Competence Center team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada). You will work closely with representatives from various organizational functions as well as colleagues from the central Commercial Aircraft team based in Toulouse.

You will be part of the Project Management Competence Center team, which is responsible for establishing project management procedures and providing the tools, templates, and methodologies needed for effective project management. Additionally, the role involves managing risks and opportunities and overseeing performance management, as well as upskilling project managers across the entire Airbus Canada (A220) organization. The team is structured to foster autonomous, cross-functional collaboration, mutual support, and collective learning.

Your role as Project manager for risk and performance management will be to lead all activities related to risk management for the programme office function. You will be an enabler to further enhance the organization’s proficiency in risk management. Concurrently, you will manage all activities related to the reporting of the Airbus Canada organization’s performance management as well as ensure the introduction of continuous improvements to increase added-value.

Your challenges:

• Execute the monthly / quarterly Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) governance for the program’s function by working in close collaboration with multiple risk focals to:
  • Capture updates on risks and opportunities;
  • Prepare and lead reviews with management team;
  • Consolidate report for the function;
  • Represent the Program’s function in the Airbus Canada’s transverse review with the other functions.
• Lead the development and deployment of initiatives aiming to improve the risk management process within the organization;
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the Program function and provide coaching to other risk focals;
• Support teams to identify, evaluate/quantify risks impacts on multiple axes as well as to develop mitigation plans;
• Deliver training to various employees on risk awareness and risk management.
• Accountability of developing and managing the preparation of the monthly performance cockpit (dashboard) for the A220 Executive Committee.
• Leads on the behalf of the A220 the yearly review of the KPIs which are adjusted in function of the top company objectives (TCO) at Airbus Commercial level and guarantees alignment with the requirements from the overall program organization.
• Responsible for establishing the monthly process requiring the collection of the data and supporting material, preparation of the overall presentation, review of the presentation package with Airbus Canada Executive Assistants prior to the official review with the entire Executive Committee.
• Lead monthly performance reviews
• Identify continuous improvements to further enhance the cockpit and increase its added value to the CEO to monitor the Airbus Canada A220 monthly performance.

Your boarding pass:

• You have a university degree (technical or commercial);
• You have over 10 years of experience in the field;
• You have practical experience in risk management;
• You have knowledge of Project Management and are familiar with industry’s best practices;
• You have experience to define and establish key process indicators (KPI), including forward looking KPIs for anticipation
• You have good analytical skills and are detail oriented;
• You have excellent communication and presentation skills;
• You are customer service oriented;
• You have strong leadership skills and you demonstrate good team spirit;
• You are self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
• You are bilingual (French and English);
• You have knowledge of Airbus business processes (an asset).

Due to the sector of activity (aerospace), frequent contacts with Airbus entities worldwide, and interactions with suppliers and clients also located across the globe, proficiency in English is required for this position.
