The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for an Industrialization Project Manager to join our Pre-FAL Industrialization team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work within the Operational Excellence team.

You will be part of the Pre-FAL Industrialization team responsible for supporting rate increases and reducing the costs of Pre-FAL Mirabel. You will thus contribute to achieving the priority objectives of Airbus Canada and will be surrounded by passionate and experienced people.

The team organization is established in such a way as to promote cross-functional collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as an Industrialization Project Manager will be to help define the A220 industrial strategy, deploy industrial improvement projects identified as critical, and support product development activities to identify and limit their impact on the manufacturing plan.

Your challenges:

  • Define the evolution of our assembly lines and identify critical paths to optimize in order to meet planned rate increases;

  • Act as project manager in the execution of industrial transformations.

  • Define the execution strategy: content, scope, resources, schedule, costs, risks, quality management, communication, and training;

  • Perform activity planning and coordination of the work of the resources involved, act as an interface between the various stakeholders, manage client expectations as well as change requests;

  • Manage budgets and expenses;

  • Prepare and present progress statuses to the management committee.

  • Develop a broad understanding of the risks and opportunities for the company related to the proposed industrial changes;

  • Contribute to the development of business cases, whether related to technical or non-technical projects;

  • Act as a change leader;

  • Plan, organize, and facilitate cross-functional workshops related to establishing and maintaining the best assembly strategy.

Your profile:

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or operations management (or you have equivalent experience);

  • You have at least 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and in the implementation of industrial projects;

  • You have a good grasp of the critical path concept;

  • You demonstrate project management skills;

  • You demonstrate a high level of leadership and show diplomacy;

  • You are autonomous, organized, and know how to establish your priorities;

  • You are an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing, in French and English;

  • You are able to evolve in an environment regularly subject to changes

  • You are proactive in defining your own objectives.
