The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Project Manager to join the industrial development team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada).

As part of its mission, the project manager must ensure that industrial aspects are taken into account in the aircraft definition and lead the design of the industrial system in synchronization with the aircraft, in order to increase maturity from the earliest phases of development.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a world-class industrial system for all product development phases of the A220 (from concept studies to serial production), in collaboration with the Industrial Architect.
• Provide recommendations regarding its characteristics and sizing (product/material/people flows, number of stations, station design, lead times, layout, buffer zones/cycles, etc.).
• Develop and deploy industrial simulation models.
• Define industrial requirements for the product, processes, technologies, industrial means and assets.
• Contribute to enriching the body of knowledge related to the development of the industrial system for the A220 program.

Requirements

• You hold an engineering degree or a technical diploma in aeronautics.
• You have more than 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and experience in a FAL (Final Assembly Line) environment.
• You are a specialist in aeronautical infrastructure design.
• You are a specialist in industrial engineering elements (layout, flows, VSM, industrial system sizing, VA/NVA analysis, capacity analysis, Lean Line Design, etc.).
• You demonstrate a high level of leadership and show diplomacy and resilience.
• You have proven skills in coaching/training, leadership and assertiveness to influence and challenge the status quo.
• You are able to work with senior management as well as with work teams and keep them engaged.
• You are autonomous, organized and able to set priorities.
• You demonstrate project management skills.
• You are an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, in French and English.
• You are able to thrive in an environment that is regularly subject to change and under high pressure.
• You are proactive in defining your own objectives.
