Job Description

Do you have 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in project management, have you worked as a Methods Agent and want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

We are looking for a project manager to join our Methods team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the experts of the Methods Configuration team to lead the evolution of our processes and optimize Change Management activities through innovative solutions.

You will be part of the A220 Configuration Methods team responsible for translating engineering requirements into an optimal assembly sequence and implementing flawless aircraft changes.

Your role as Project Manager, Process and Methods Improvements will be to act as the primary interface for all initiatives and projects related to process and tool improvement.

Your challenges:

  • Lead and deliver the portfolio of Configuration Management improvement and process projects within the Manufacturing Engineering team
  • Deploy reliable, agile and robust processes, methods and tools to effectively manage the project portfolio in close collaboration with the Methods team
  • Actively participate in the development of clear and detailed process maps, process documentation, working methods and training;
  • Provide prioritization of resources and activities, through the involvement of the various teams concerned, integrating constraints (risks, market, technology or capacity)
  • Contribute to the various relevant project validation stages by preparing the necessary deliverables (executive reviews, gate validation, etc.)
  • Promote data analysis expertise to ensure a cross-functional approach to internal solutions based on Airbus platforms through benchmarking activities
  • Define, involving the right stakeholders (stakeholder management), the annual budget for projects, as well as its update, its regular control and the internal validation process.
  • Monitor progress as needed and set up the required governance for taking key actions;
  • Provide visible leadership on projects, particularly with regard to communication and team engagement;

Requirements

Your profile:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Methods, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent professional experience;
  • You have 5 years of experience in a similar position or 10 to 15 years as a methods agent.
  • You have a deep understanding of manufacturing process and tool (ERP) interactions;
  • You have strong leadership, a collaborative, constructive and rational approach to facilitate collective decision-making
  • Excellent written and oral communication, in French and English
  • You have good organizational and planning skills to keep your commitments.
  • You are curious, autonomous and motivated
  • You have good judgment and you work well within a multidisciplinary team.
