Reporting to the Senior Manager, Warehousing, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and compliance across all warehousing activities within a complex and dynamic logistics network. They serve as the subject matter expert for warehouse quality, oversee suppliers' quality performance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes.
The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Maintain high standards of quality and overall compliance across all Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) warehousing activities within a complex and evolving logistics network.
- Manage relationships with warehousing service providers, including oversight of their quality performance and compliance.
- Respond promptly and effectively to resolve issues impacting P&WC operations and production facilities.
- Support the implementation of logistics projects.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to effectively meet the needs of internal customers.
- Conduct a variety of logistics analyses and present findings and recommendations to management.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on P&WC warehouse quality procedures.
- Document, investigate, and resolve non-conformances and quality deviations.
- Perform internal audits and surveillance audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Review and approve work instructions developed by Logistics Service Providers (LSPs).
- Support quality clinics and continuous improvement initiatives with logistics service providers.
- Collaborate with internal customers and communicate on quality-related issues, including shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and process non-compliance.
- Extract, analyze, and interpret data to support investigations, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review work instructions to ensure compliance with P&WC quality requirements.
- Identify recurring quality issues, analyze root causes, and recommend sustainable corrective actions.
- Develop and implement recommendations to improve operational processes and overall quality performance.
- Serve as the warehousing operations focal point for Export Control compliance.
What do you need to be successful?
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a complex logistics network and/or an advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
- Knowledge of SAP is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to extract, analyze, and interpret data.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a strong sense of urgency.
- Customer-focused with a proactive mindset.
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt priorities to meet operational needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
