What are your contributions to the team?

Strategic Planning Leadership
\u2022 Lead the development and continuous refinement of a comprehensive five-year strategic plan for Bombardier Defense.
\u2022 Ensure the plan clearly articulates strategic priorities, long-term business objectives, strategic initiatives, and investment priorities.
\u2022 Structure the strategic planning process and ensure alignment across all functional areas.
\u2022 Facilitate strategic planning workshops and alignment sessions.


Strategic Initiatives Support
\u2022 Translate strategic priorities into clearly defined, structured, and measurable strategic initiatives.
\u2022 Support the definition of roadmaps, timelines, and success metrics for major initiatives.
\u2022 Monitor progress of strategic initiatives and support leadership in addressing execution challenges.
\u2022 Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coherence in implementation.
\u2022 Support strategic initiatives tied to potential corporate collaboration discussions, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and industrial cooperation agreements.
\u2022 Provide strategic support to M&A activities including target screening, strategic fit assessments, and due diligence preparation.


Business Development & Operational Planning
\u2022 Design and implement a structured, gated decision-making framework to evaluate new business opportunities, including new products, new applications, and entry into new market segments.
\u2022 Define clear qualification, evaluation, and approval criteria for each gate to ensure disciplined progression of opportunities and alignment with strategic priorities.
\u2022 Partner with Finance and functional leaders to support the development of annual and multi-year budgets aligned with strategic initiatives and investment priorities.
\u2022 Monitor budget execution against plan, identify variances, and provide insights and recommendations to ensure financial discipline and optimal resource utilization.
\u2022 Support leadership in prioritizing initiatives based on strategic value, ROI, risk profile, and organizational capacity.


Team Leadership & Development
\u2022 Manage, coach, and develop a team of strategic analysts.
\u2022 Define analytical standards, methodologies, and deliverables.
\u2022 Set priorities and performance expectations for the team.
\u2022 Foster a high-performance culture focused on strategic thinking and accountability.

How to thrive in this role?

\u2022 Master\u2019s degree in business, Strategy, Engineering, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
\u2022 7\u201310 years of experience in strategic planning, corporate strategy, or management consulting.
\u2022 Demonstrated experience leading multi-year strategic planning processes (3\u20135 year horizon).
\u2022 Experience managing and developing analytical teams.
\u2022 Experience in M&A, corporate development, or strategic transactions is a strong asset.
\u2022 Experience in the defense or aerospace industry is highly desirable.
\u2022 Strong ability to structure strategy into actionable plans and initiatives.
\u2022 Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
