P&WC is looking for an experienced professional, with in-depth experience in drafting contracts, and who wishes to join a tight-knit, high performing team in a fascinating industry.

The primary role of a Contract Manager will be to support the business drafting contracts and facilitating the reviews and approvals of required departments within the company. The incumbent may be requested by the company to participate in contract negotiations with aircraft customers and operators, and/or may be requested to resolve certain business or technical issues by identifying and recommending contract solutions.

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Leads, drafts and manages complex contracts in a global industry, in accordance with company policies and internal and external customer requests, schedules, and specifications
  • Prepares documentation for contract negotiations with aircraft customers and operators
  • Manages contractual relationships with internal clients and external aircraft customers and operators
  • Maintains records associated with the preparation and review of contracts
  • Leads contract analysis and prepares reports to ensure that documents are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters
  • With the support of the Legal Department, advises the organization on issues concerning contract matters and provides contract solutions
  • Assists leadership with training requirements required by the company
  • Leads/manages multiple small- to medium-sized projects
  • Develops and implements process improvements to enhance departmental performance and effectiveness

What do you need to be successful?

  • Professional degree in law, administration, business, finance (a degree in the paralegal field may also be considered)
  • Seven (7) years experience in contract drafting and management
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • Experience with IT tools MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a serious team player
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload and aggressive timelines
  • Works effectively under pressure

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
