The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking to hire a candidate to join our Program organization based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will be in daily/regular contact with Airbus, Airbus Canada Directors and top level management of suppliers.
You will be part of the PDT Fuselage and Doors team. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
In this role you will be accountable to define and deliver component developments in line with top program targets for the IPT product scope: ducting, insulation and flooring.

Your challenges
- Ensure a consistent product evolution plan and Business Driven Product Roadmap.
- Integrate product change requests from different portfolios into synergistic modifications optimizing value for money and enabling seamless industrialization.
- Contribute to arbitration between development portfolios.
- Ensure the multi-year operational planning of development projects for the IPT scope.
- Contribute to the overall operational development planning of the A220 product developments.
- Ensure the definition of development projects with different levels of complexity.
- Ensure the execution of product modification developments on time, cost and quality.
- Ensure supplier engagement and their contribution to development projects.
- Ensure all contributing functions, including suppliers, are mobilized, staffed, organized and geared to execute product modification projects.
- Ensure application of Airbus project and program management standards and practices to development projects.
Your main tasks and responsibilities
- Build and lead multidisciplinary development teams.
- Create strategic, value-for-money driven and integrated component evolution plans and contributions to the business-driven program roadmaps.
- Deploy the business management system, performance monitoring & control for the projects with support of project management business partners.
- Lead the performance management of the development projects, anticipate deviations, formulate and define corrective actions if needed.
- Lead the internal and external governance for the development projects.
- Provide visibility to the PDT and top management.
- Manage top risks & opportunities related to the product development projects and ensure proper mitigation plans are put in place.
- Drive continuous improvements in the product development management perimeter.
Your profile
- You hold a bachelor and/or master degree in engineering, project management or other relevant field.
- You have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the aviation industry mainly in Programme function.
- Strong customer-focused approach, teamwork, leadership and influence.
- Strong and convincing personality, at ease when interfacing with and challenging Senior Executives while maintaining a collaborative environment.
- Ability to navigate complex ecosystems and a deep understanding of Programme-driven organizations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project management skills.
- Business acumen and financial understanding.
- Proficient in French and English, in both speaking and writing.
