MHIRJ is the merging of two significant legacies: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and the CRJ Series program. We provide comprehensive operations, engineering and customer support solutions, including maintenance, overhaul, technical publications, and marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry. We are seeking a Total Rewards Manager.
Position summary
This role serves as a senior subject matter expert in total rewards, supporting analysis and administration of programs in Canada and the United States. It helps maintain consistency, internal equity and alignment with established practices by providing recommendations and guidance based on rigorous analysis. The incumbent exercises advanced judgment and provides expert recommendations to the Director of Total Rewards.
Your contribution:
Compensation, salary review and incentive programs (Canada and United States)
- Analyze compensation structures, job evaluations and salary positioning, and make recommendations aligned with internal practices and market trends.
- Support administration of annual salary review processes, including data preparation and validation, and stakeholder support.
- Administer short-term incentive programs (STIP), including calculations, validation and coordination of payouts.
- Support administration of sales compensation, including commission tracking, data validation and issue resolution.
- Coordinate long-term incentive programs (LTIP), including award processing and payout administration.
- Conduct pay equity analyses and contribute to recommendations to support internal equity and regulatory compliance.
Benefits, pension and payroll (Canada)
- Support administration and continuous improvement of Canadian benefits and pension programs.
- Provide analyses and recommendations to improve program effectiveness and the employee experience.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth program delivery.
- Support payroll administration in coordination with the external provider.
- Review and validate non-routine benefits and payroll items to ensure compliance with compensation programs and internal policies.
- Serve as a point of contact for benefits and payroll inquiries and assist in issue resolution coordination.
Processes, policies and communications
- Contribute to the development and improvement of processes and policies related to total rewards.
- Prepare analyses, documentation and recommendations to support consistent program application.
- Provide guidance to policy administrators and help ensure quality and consistency of implementation.
What is required to succeed:
- Strong experience in compensation, including salary structures, short-term (STIP) and long-term (LTIP) incentive programs, and sales compensation.
- Excellent knowledge of Canadian benefits, pension plans and payroll governance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
- Sound judgment and the ability to develop rigorous, well-founded recommendations.
- Ability to administer cross-border initiatives (compensation in Canada and the United States).
- Ability to manage multiple programs with both operational and strategic impact.
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is essential, as the role will interact and communicate with employees and vendors in both languages across Canada and the United States.
