The A220 Commercial Aircraft Program is seeking a Head of A220 Wings & Fuselage Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing a multidisciplinary team across all A220 programs in Mirabel (Canada) and Mobile (USA).
Scope & Responsibilities:
Leadership: Direct, motivate, and coordinate an integrated team across Montreal and Mobile to achieve operational performance and quality excellence for the A220 wings and fuselage programs.
Customer Focus: Foster a customer-centric environment while supporting the commercial objectives of the Belfast site.
Agility: Adopt a multidimensional approach to meet evolving customer demands within a dynamic environment that requires continuous performance and quality improvements.
Resource Management: Balance resources effectively and respond swiftly to changing requirements driven by a diverse product base.

Key Challenges:
Representation: Leverage your cross-functional expertise to represent and advocate for Airbus Belfast’s interests with VPs of Site Operations, Program VPs, and Quality Directors across Belfast and North America.
Financial Oversight: Contribute to budget development for approval by Program Management and the VP of Operations.
Strategic Optimization: Articulate and challenge technical and quality data to achieve optimal cost solutions while maintaining peak customer satisfaction.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain weekly engagement with Belfast Operations leadership, A220 senior executives, and union representatives.
Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers at various levels regarding product and quality matters.
Crisis Management: Address internal and external issues with urgency, professionalism, and precision.
Your Profile:
Experience: 15+ years of overall professional experience, with specific subject matter expertise in Wings (serving as the sole on-site resource).
Industry Background: 10+ years in aerospace manufacturing or a high-reliability sector.
Leadership: 5+ years of experience leading functional and operational teams.
Education: Degree (HNC/Bachelor’s) or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
Methodologies: Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement or the Airbus Operating System (AOS).
Asset: Previous experience within a Final Assembly Line (FAL) environment.
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex projects in mission-critical environments.
