Stress Analysis Engineer – Damage Tolerance

You have experience in stress analysis, you have worked on aircraft structures and you want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Stress Analysis Engineer – Damage Tolerance (m/f) to join our aerostructure design office team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will study the structural behavior of components.

Your role as a Stress Analysis Engineer – Damage Tolerance will be to analyze the damage tolerance of principal structural elements (PSE).

Your challenges:

• Perform damage tolerance analyses on principal structural elements (PSE)
• Provide recommendations on design concepts and aircraft structure repairs
• Develop fatigue spectra
• Perform damage tolerance analysis validations with experimental results
• Support the development of the maintenance manual in collaboration with the technical publications and maintenance engineering groups
• Collaborate with suppliers, ensure compliance with methodology and program technical requirements
• Review supplier reports and analyses
• Prepare certification reports

Your profile:

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
• You have at least five (5) years of experience in stress analysis of metallic aircraft structures, primarily as a specialist in airframe fatigue and damage tolerance
• Knowledge of software such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, NASGRO, CATIA V5, MS Office and Google Suite is mandatory
• Prior experience working on an aircraft development or in-service support program, including certification, would be an asset
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques would be an asset
• You have a strong sense of responsibility, integrity and are a team player
• You have good communication skills
• You must be able to read and communicate in French and English
