Integration, Test and Trial Engineer at the Land-Based Test Facility

Detailed Job Description

The successful candidate will contribute to the Land-Based Test Facility (LBTF) project for the Rivers Class Destroyer (RCD) as a member of the Integration, Test and Evaluation (IT&E) team conducting the following activities:

  • Develop or review a system of tests and trials on board ships or on land, including commissioning, integration tests, harbor acceptance tests, sea acceptance tests and operational tests and evaluations.
  • Conduct post-installation and commissioning inspections of equipment.
  • Develop and execute test documentation to verify the operation of integrated systems/software.
  • Record test results in the test management system.
  • Complete defect reports and related documentation.
  • Conduct test report reviews to include data collection analysis results and report findings, as needed, to key stakeholders.
  • Support the planning and execution of acceptance activities.
  • Support the development of Contract Essential Data Lists (CEDL).
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Test Sequence Network and the Time-Staged Test Sequence Network.
  • Manage the implementation of model-based testing methodology and traceability.
  • Participate in training activities and acquire knowledge of complex warfare systems.

What you bring to the role

  • Post-secondary degree preferred, or equivalent combination of studies and relevant technical experience (military or civilian)
  • Experience in Integration and Testing (I&T)
  • Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules, including evenings and weekends, as needed
  • Ability to solve difficult problems as part of a team
  • High degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Ethical, respectful, and collaborative approach, contributing positively to a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Able to obtain a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)
